01What is the practical difference between Alpha and Beta?

Alpha is Nische’s burgundy heavy-duty welding blanket material for more demanding hot work, heavier spatter and repeated handling. Beta is the grey, lighter coated material for routine fabrication and maintenance where easier positioning is preferred.

02Why does Nische state metric and nominal imperial roll sizes?

Nische materials are manufactured and identified in metric dimensions. Imperial sizes are intentionally rounded trade references. For example, 1.5 m is presented as nominal 5 ft, allowing teams to compare familiar formats without treating a conversion as the manufactured dimension.

03What does FM Approval mean in plain language?

For a listed configuration, FM Approval provides independent product evaluation and ongoing conformity surveillance. Nische leads with that third-party control rather than expecting purchasers to recognize an approval class number by itself.

04Does a colour variation invalidate FM Approval?

No. Approved colour variations are permitted. Nische nevertheless uses burgundy as the standard Alpha identity and grey as the standard Beta identity so customers can distinguish the materials quickly.

05Does Nische publish complete laboratory test reports?

No. Nische publishes customer-relevant approvals, certifications, safety data sheets and product infographics. Additional technical information is available directly from Nische when required for an application review.

06Where can Nische products be supplied?

Nische supports Canada, Europe and Africa through regional inventory and distribution. Global inquiries remain welcome because a new customer can establish the case for serving an additional region.
