01Which Nische welding blanket is the starting point for demanding shipyard hot work?
Alpha is the usual starting point when the application involves heavier spatter, abrasion or repeated handling. The final choice still depends on temperature, duration, orientation and the protected surface.
02When should a welding pad be used instead of a hanging blanket?
Review a welding pad or cushion for horizontal work, kneeling comfort or when a layered assembly is needed. A hanging blanket is generally evaluated for shielding and containment in vertical or draped orientations.
03Can Blue Diamond replace a welding blanket?
No. Blue Diamond is reusable floor and surface protection with FR and anti-static ratings. It does not replace the hot-work fabric selected to control sparks, spatter or direct thermal exposure.
